We’re excited to announce an upcoming major update to the app! There will be a lot of changes and with great changes come important decisions.

Here’s what you need to know:

What’s Changing?

• Complete Data Wipe: All existing data in the current version of Stars Align app will be deleted. This includes your matches, chat history, photos, and profile information.
  
  
• Important Dates: The data wipe will coincide with the release of the new version of the app, which should be around August 8, 2024.

Why This Change?

• Support New Features: We have added new features and functionalities that were not possible with the previous setup.
  
  
• Enhanced Performance: You'll experience faster load times and a more responsive app.
  
  
• Improved Security: The new app has enhanced security of your data, ensuring better protection and privacy.

How to Prepare

To ensure a smooth transition, here are a few steps you can take:

1. Backup Your Data: If there are any conversations, matches, or photos you want to keep, make sure to save them before the data is wiped.
   
   
2. Submit Data Requests: If you wish to keep a record of your account information, you can request a copy by writing to us at hello@starsalign.co.

2. Use “Account Data Request” as the subject line.
3. Let us know which data you’d like to receive (e.g., photos, bio).
4. For security purposes, we’ll verify your identity before sharing any information.
